Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering prepares individuals to apply mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development and operational evaluation of physical systems used in manufacturing and end-product systems used for specific uses, including machine tools, jigs and other manufacturing equipment; stationary power units and appliances; engines; self-propelled vehicles; housings and containers; hydraulic and electric systems for controlling movement; and the integration of computers and remote control with operating systems.
Mechanical Engineering finds submission in all fields of technology. It is one of the ancient branches of engineering which have remained always in demand and continue to be in the future. Mechanical engineers have always been needed as essential staff personnel in various industries of both public & private sector. Their work criteria change according to the type and domain of the company they are working with. As the industrial sector has drastically risen in pace, the need for more mechanical engineers has increased gradually. Every manufacturing and production industry needs mechanical engineers to carry out jobs efficiently and flawlessly for their companies.
Mechanical engineers are characterized by personal creativity, breadth of knowledge, and versatility. They are also valuable and reliable to their team members. The technical subject areas that form the main basis for their work include mechanics, energy transfer and conversion, design and manufacturing, and the engineering sciences. A good understanding of English and mathematics is also crucial to this kind of profession.
It has a great scope in the automobile industry, oil & gas production companies, aeronautical field, cement industry, design sector, chemical industry, steel, power sector, heavy machinery sector, information technology, defense hydraulics, & above all the blooming construction field always waiting on for Mechanical Engineers with well-paid packages.
Eligibility of Mechanical Engineering:–
Under Graduate: For admission in any bachelor’s degree, the candidates must have cleared the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subjects such as Physics, maths, and chemistry. For IIT, it is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE). The duration of this course is four years.
Post Graduate: The eligibility criteria for pursuing a master’s degree are holding a bachelor’s degree in (B.E/B.Tech.) or any other equivalent branches of engineering. The duration for this course is two years.
